During a writing sprint/teaching video on Dave and Angie Smuin’s YouTube channel I made notes on their helpful explanation of the three stages of editing. While doing this I realized that my descriptions of action need to be edited so they are logical and can be easily visualized by readers.

Once upon a time, a little old lady finished a small book of fairy tales. She lived happily ever after until she realized she still had to wrestle with whether to include a story-frame to connect them. Did the frame she had drafted, and its somewhat muddy premise, add to the story? Or should she create a short preface for each tale that could connect them?
I may have forgotten to say that my book contains retellings for adults. Here’s my progress:
May 15 – I finished editing #1 of 4 tales – Cinder-girl
May 17 – I finished editing #2 – Snow White
May 18 – I worked on edits and format of #4 – Beauty and the Beast
I’m leaving edits on #3 until last – Briar Rose
